Day 1: Meeting point: 9.00h at Auer/Egna train station (approx. 25 km south of Bolzano). The best option is to take a train that arrives the day before and stay over night at the Hotel Christin near the station. By taxi to Rolle Pass (approx. 1h, 60 km). By chairlift to Castellazzo (2.200m), on to Baita Segantini and with skins to Passo Mulaz (2.619m). The peak of Monte Mulaz (2.906m) is near. North-east facing descent to Falcade, past Rifugio Giuseppe Volpi di Misurata al Mulaz. Up again on the skilifts of TreValli-Moena – to San Pellegrino Pass and on to the Rifgiugio Flora Alpina, a small hotel with very nice food.
Ascent: 400 to 700 vertical meters
Day 2: Ascent to Forca Rossa. Descent on wide open slopes to Malga Ciapela (bottom station of Marmolada ropeway). By cable car to Punta Roca (3.200m). Mega-highlight: Riding Marmolada North down to the reservoir, frequently in powder snow of extraordinary quality. Overnight stay at Rifugio Castiglioni at Fedaia Pass.
Ascent: 700 vertical meters
Day 3: Ascent to Rifugio Luigi Gorza into the ski area of Arabba. Next highlight: Descent from Funivia Pordoi. Depending on conditions we either descend through Canale Holzer or into Val Lasties. The ride through Val Mezdi to Corvara is always possible. From there we take the skilift to Pralongia at Col di Lana. Overnight stay at the gateway to Fanes at Hotel Valparol.
Ascent: 400 vertical meters
Day 4: Across the entire Fanes Nature Park. If possible we climb Piz Lavarela (3.055m). Descent through the Fanes Valley to the legendary resort town of Cortina d’Ampezzo. Overnight stay at Rifugio Son Forca.
Ascent: 400 to 1.200 vertical meters
Day 5: Highlight: Monte Cristallo. By chairlift to Rifugio Lorenzi. This lift was already considered a nostalgic relic in 1981, when the James Bond movie „For Your Eyes Only“ was shot.
